As Danbury’s parish church we are in the unique position of being the spiritual centre of the village every day of the year. We are here whether you want to celebrate your faith on a Sunday, or if you just want to pop in and have a conversation with God.

We are also here for those at major points in their lives. Every year we have people celebrate their love at wedding, revel in the joy of baptism and commemorate the life of passed loved ones.

Parts of the church building are over 800 years old and require enormous amounts of work and upkeep to remain in such a good condition and allow us to be here for the village.

This, unfortunately, is incredibly expensive. Over the past 5 years it has cost a stunning average of £285 PER DAY to stay open.

We receive no money from the central Church of England or government. We survive on the generosity of the public, who donate what they can to help us stay open.

At this trying time we understand the hardship so many are facing with job uncertainty, and we too have seen a change, from the reduction in the amount people have donated.
